Finally downloaded an app that seems to be doing exactly what I was hoping for. Just bought an older house and I intend to knock down some walls and change the floor plan. This app does that easily. Very nice.

I love this app, it allowed me to measure my area and envision how my new apartment would look furnished!

Easy to use, can be fairly accurate for your regular guy. Not sure about professional use, havent gotten that far yet.

Nice app, very helpful

Needed a floor plan to figure out where furniture will fit in the new house and this app is just the thing I needed. The camera measure thing is cool but a good old fashioned tape measure works too.

Very nice software able to leverage augmented reality to measure rooms through seeing virtual measuring tools in the room through the screen of the iPad or iPhone. Some fairly interesting geometry fun going on in the software. The tool is quite fun to use as you look through your iPad screen snapping wall vertices building your floor plan. This tool works very well for rooms that are comprised of right angles in both taking the virtual floor plan, measuring and later on adjusting the measurements when needed. Where the other "fun" comes in are the rooms with non-90 degree angles. Shooting a room with a non-rectangular bay window like _/ for example can take many retakes, measurements, adjustments, and do-overs all because there does not seem to be a way to adjust the angles where the walls meet. You can stretch the walls but you cant rotate them. You can move corners (vertices) that ultimately stretch walls, but you cant rotate corners either. Even if you lock the wall measurements, the act of trying to adjust corner-angles forces the locked measurements unlocked and rectilinearly changes the walls (not the unknown / unmeasured joint angle, but instead the known / confirmed / physically recorded wall sizes). The "fun" continues with room rotation when your room drawing will not align to the floor plans graph paper and insists on staying at some strange angle. No amount of gently trying to adjust compensate as the room rotation snapping function will resist any fine adjustment. While very impressively useful software, it can be just as impressively frustrating due to the inability to perform angular adjustment of wall vertices and the over all room rotation snapping constraints. If your rooms corner angles are anything but 90 degrees, be prepared for some slow down. On a side note, the software could really use an upgrade to be iPad Pro screen size savvy . Realestate on the screen is limited to what appears to be iPad Air resolution on the iPad Pro 12.9 screen and if any software could use some Apple Pencil interaction, MagicPlan is it.

Ive been slowly capturing the dimensions of my house with this app. In the end I have a blue print in my pocket at all times so I always know the dimensions when Im shopping for furniture or appliances

The app would be great if it didnt force you to watch the directions video EVERY STINKING TIME YOU USE THE APP.

Helping a friend plan his rented office space. He drives long haul semi trucks, Im here in town. Really handy being able to collaborate on the same project so easily while hes on the road. Enough power for a few rooms or small house, auto wall layout using the phones camera worked far better than I expected. If you dont need precise dimensions its damned quick to draw a space ! If you do, its not hard to input or edit figures. Next project will be laying out my garden barn. Excellent program with fair pricing options to export, share, collaborate and display/print your layout projects.

I never write reviews. But this app deserves it. Great tool for planning out spaces in your house! Every time I say, "I wish this app did that" I realize it does. Such a handy tool for free.
