I got a subcription with this app for every month and i been a loyal customer for two years and Last week they took 400 dollars out of my bank acount with out permission and of course is a mistake but to contac them is very dificult they dont hace customer service. They dont answer.

World Class System to Get Fast and Accurate Floor Plans AND to integrate pricing for Fast Estimates… Very delighted.

Not great for just stud walls for remodeling. Can’t capture all the windows and misses a lot of detail. For the walls it worked on it was nice but overall failed more than it worked. Bummer as it would be helpful with our current basement remodel but all the time I spent it was quicker to draw it out by hand.

Needs layers

I like the ease of designing floor plans in this the app, but I wish there was a way to copy entire rooms- including furniture, and paste it in a completely new floor/plan. Additionally, the roof builder is nonexistent/not user friendly. At least I’ve never gotten it to work.

Love the fact you are committed to regular product improvements - BUT, I (and many in the forums) have been waiting for Layers. Layers would make it so much more functional for me personally to have a base “as-built” layer, and separately have a different layer(s) for Demolition, New construction, Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Furniture, etc. that can be toggled on/off. This would also make it easier to have the different subcontractor trades to prepare quotes for me.

These low life moneygrubbers have put together an app that makes you shell out money for lost work. Why would you dispose of a scan and not allow export of raw data? This is insulting to anyone that pays money for this. What a scam.

I signed up for an annual subscription for this product and got some use out of it. Unfortunately the subscription was set to auto-renew. I received no advance notice prior to renewal, something generally afforded to customers with other products/services, also it renewed at a price $30 higher than the previous year. I reached out to customer service within minutes of seeing the charge hit my credit card. They informed me that even though the payment hadn’t finished processing that there was no way that they could refund it. If there is a sure fire way to gain a detractor for your product, that would be it. Never going to use this product again and will make sure I inform as many people as I can about their pathetic customer service.

Every time I open the app it reverts to a white screen. I close out and re-open, same thing. My iPhone 15 is up to date.

I just downloaded the app today (February 25 2025) and it’s been ok so far I’m saying 3 stars since you have to pay money and I don’t trust this app enough to give it my money One review says that it’s a great deal at $89 a month. Now anyone who has an IQ of over 5 knows that $89 a month is not a good deal. Now I haven’t done much looking into it since I don’t even want to get into why something might cost $89 a month. But there are other plans that you can pay for but it’s still not a good deal. The cheapest plan is $12 which gives you pretty much all that a regular diyer would need. But me personally I wouldn’t pay $12 a month for an app to make virtual house plans that to be totally honest aren’t the most accurate. I’ll give to them the camera feature is pretty high tech… wait the iPhones mesured app uses the same tech… anyways I’m impressed how easy it is to use this app. I’d never used a single program before to make floor plans and this app took me 3 minutes to learn. I don’t encourage the idea of paying any money for any app unless it’s a streaming service. However if you plan on using this app extremely often than maybe you could pay for it. There is a free option which gives you 2 free projects(you can just have multiple devices and have more projects than that) Currently I’ve mostly been saying my experience with this app but here’s what you will experience. First when you open the app it’ll ask if you want to make an account or go in playground mode. Creating an account will save your progress playground won’t. You get the option to pay but you can take the free option. This gives you 2 free projects and that’s the maximum amount for one account. If you want to do the scan thing you go into the project and press “+ template” than you click the scan option and mark every corner then set the height and then place every door and window and your done with the room you chose. Overall it’s not the most accurate on measurements Make sure you have good lighting and have fun

Do you self a favor find a better software than this. It used to be great. They changed everything to “make it better“ Now It just takes waaaaaay longer to do a floor plan. It’s very inefficient. You would think the programmers for this app work for the government. It’s truly not worth the hassle. I will be looking for a completely different software to make floor plants. This is horrible, don’t waste your time.

Doesn’t work anymore

I’ve paid for this app twice so far (in full at the time of purchase) - and I do have an actual account with them - and now suddenly not able to use it (the few plans I’ve made before are now “locked”) until I pay more fore some ongoing subscription. Look elsewhere and “buyers” beware! Note that this issue is NOT due to the use of different devices.

I had high hopes for this app, but it did not deliver on any level. I paid $40 for the Report Plan expecting accurate scanning and automatic measurements, but it failed in every possible way. •Manual mode? Couldn’t capture my space properly. •LiDAR mode? Finally captured it—then didn’t save my work. •Auto-measuring? Didn’t work at all. •Basic UX? Confusing, unintuitive, and frustrating. MagicPlan actively made this process harder, not easier. I have no idea why it gets such good reviews when it simply does not work. Do yourself a favor—skip this app and look elsewhere.

There is no tutorial and no apparent tabs for setting up a room scan. Might be slightly better than all the other trash apps that claim to generate simple plans from scan. Difficult to say without buying anything first.

First time ever reviewing anything but this has frustrated me to no end. Have spent hours working on plans only to have all my work wiped out when opening from another device and it reverting to the version on the current device. So lame!

Scanning works ok. If you need to fine tune or edit the scan it is very difficult. Magicplan videos on YouTube are no help.

The new thing that is AI is amazing. I did a existing apartment in two minutes with all the cabinets, the appliances, the bathroom, toilet sink, and tub. As well as all the windows and doors! It was exceptional Extremely easy to use. Very valuable in doing as built plans that can then be modified with it or other programs. Good job

It's just a lie. You can't find that feature anywhere in the app. It's just like any other AR floor plan app: it only works if the room is empty. There's absolutely no feature to scan furniture, it can't even accept walls of different heights, and God forbid there's anything between the camera and the room's corner, because then nothing will work at all and you just wasted your time on yet another useless AR app. I could overlook all that, but a fake video? That's plain false advertisement. The 5* reviews are very suspicious, too. I'm not convinced they were written by humans.

My Mom recently had a stroke. During this time, my brother and I agreed that based on her condition it was time for my Mom to move out of the house she had been in for 30 years and the last five years alone into an assisted living facility that would be better for her. As a divorcee of 40 years, she is incredibly independent. Magic Plan allowed me to go to her new place, map out all the dimensions with Lidar and a tape measure, and allowed her to work with her furniture and show her exactly how things would be. Instead of something that felt very pushed on her, she engaged and was active in the decision-making. If it weren't for Magic Plan, the Elevation Plan, 2d, and 3d views I'm not sure this would have been possible. I have insanely impressed with this software. While I'm not the target audience, I would encourage anyone who is themselves or has a family member moving to use it. It truly is a game changer.

The app used to be good, but recently it crash all the time. Today after I’d to open the app again I lost ALL my recent projects. You can’t trust this app!!

I am no longer able to edit plans that were previously made unless I pay for a subscription. How are you going to allow someone to create something then 6 months down the road charge a fee to edit it when it was free all along. Greed at its finest

I’ve scanned my entire house three times without success. The app continues to save the room names incorrectly and does not allow me to edit them. It would be faster to measure everything myself manually. I’m very frustrated that this isn’t easier to use.

I’ve given this app multiple tries as what it says it can do is amazing. You are supposed to be able to create floor plans within the app using the Lidar functionality on your phone. I have a 15 Pro Max and it doesn’t work. You scan the whole room only to have your floor plan not save. Forget doing multiple rooms. This app would be so amazing for real estate professionals if it actually worked. Like so many apps the support is non-existent. They won’t refund you if it never works. All troubleshooting is self help. I can tell you without a doubt after three tries, a ton of self help research, and countless hours trying to get it to work, that it doesn’t work. Do not waste your money. In response to the Developer insinuating that I wasn’t using anything other than the beta auto scan functionality …to be clear, I tried scanning a single room with every tool available and none of them work! This app simply does not work as advertised or really at all. before they try to imply that I don’t know how to use computers. I use them every day all day and I also use other LiDAR scanners. This app is the problem not the user!

Написав письмо в поддержку,ответ так и не поступил. В спам листе ответа тоже нету! Разочарован! Надеюсь с платными акаунтами Вы обходитесь лучше…

Prior to this “Big” & “Amazing” update, when it came time to create pdf files of dimensions, statistics, etc, the app would generate them very quickly. Now? Ha, I’ve waited over 30 minutes full service, on Verizon 5G UW. No report, pdf, and I can’t finish my portion of the job without them. Whatever is broken on the back end, is killing the usability of this app.

I needed a quick way to get accrue floor plan for my new home. This looked like a good idea. The app presents you with two options, create basic free plans without login . BUT it warns that anything created without an account will be deleted when account is create . I spent a couple of hours going through and mapping out rooms and laser measuring , only to find out that there is no way to export it . Alright , so I created an account . Surly they would let me pay to keep my demo project , right ? Nope! Anything done under demo is gone Forever ! What kind of business sense does that make . Why have the option that deletes everything at all. Let me work , then keep my project when account is created . Charge me to export it ! This is a waste of time when you have competition. Use any other app. —— Developer response did not address the core issue in my complaint. Why do they DELETE the demo project before account was created? Why not import it as 1 of the 2 free projects allowed ? Or let me pay to keep it ?

I went in with pretty low expectations, and to be fair it isn't perfect, but if you need a quick and dirty floor plan it really does create one out of thin air just by waving your phone around. I'm impressed.

Installed on iPhone and brand new iPad Pro logged in and nothing happens when I tap new project.

Im trying to contact them, as I read the second plan promised floor plan, but they are none, AND NO support. I just threw my money down the drain. Such a shame.

Just another app company offering a free app only to fix or add options that users request then to make it a subscription service You guys su ck plan and simple

I used this app periodically at best. You used to be able to delete a floor plan to stay under the two max for the free edition. I understand I am using it for free but I use it 3-5 times a year for my business. It hardly warrants paying the monthly or yearly subscription. Now I somehow have three projects in the app and it won’t let me delete any of them. The only options are favorite, archive and share. It’s frustrating to now be forced to pay for the app. The thing is, in my line of work I WAS CONSTANTLY telling general contractors and mitigation companies about the app. And was showing them 3-5 times a week to different companies and showing them how cool it was. Now I will be telling them to use Matterport instead. Good bye magicplan.

With this new update, I was logged out of my account, my password didn’t work and password reset isn’t working. I lost all of my saved data. I had planned up upgrading to use it for more floor plans but not now. I just lost days of mapping out for new flooring and years of mapping retail space with upgrades I paid for. Don’t trust this app to save your data. To add, technical support responded but can’t find my account. I will be researching my purchases over the years to seek a refund.

I’mI had 2 homes in here which they allowed for free, and was about to include the rest of my homes. However, with the new update (October ‘24), they no longer allow free editing. You’re now allowed 1 free edit, and if you know how much plans change at a home, you know know ridiculous this is. You forgot to add a partition wall? Too bad, that counts as an edit and you’ll have to purchase before even being sure if the app use useful or to your liking. I won’t be using this app anymore, and I imagine there will be a lot more negative reviews post update.

I spent two hours mapping out of space placing everything precisely furniture, windows doors. It worked sort of well. Then I signed up. And lost my drawing that is in another city. I will not sign up with magicplan. I’m sure there are better that don’t have this right out of the gate flaw. They cost me a day of time.

3D view is not working in new version. It just displays a blank page in my iPhone 15 pro max. Update: the problem only occurs when WIFI is on. I have to turn off WiFi in order to see 3D view.

The “most significant update” in 12 years deleted my saved floor plans. This bug has cost me a lot of time and I’ll now be looking for a new app that prioritizes users over what I’m guessing is a new monetization strategy. Hopefully they can get this issue fixed before it effects more users.

They are horrible and unethical people. With the new update, they have made it where I can only access one of my plans. I have the free account where they initially told me that I could have 2 free floor plans in this account. I worked one plan for a really long time. The other floor plan, I barely touched. With the new update, they blocked me from opening up and even viewing the plan that I put years of work into and said I have to pay if I want to continue working on it. They changed the terms overnight and didn’t even give me a heads up that it was changing. I cannot afford the price they are asking for. I am a student. So it would’ve been great to have a heads up to know that it was a cost I would have to include in my next months budget. Now I just see them as thrives and I will not be using their service in the future.
